Can I have chickens in my backyard?
No. Also not allowed are domesticated animals, and other livestock such as turkeys, goats, cows, horses or any wild animals.
Can I have a garden?
Yes. Raised gardens are considered temporary and can be planted with 2-3 feet of the fence. Permanent plantings such a trees require District approval.
How do I get a pool pass?
Print and complete the online membership form (under the DOCUMENTS tab) and take it to the pool during scheduled pool hours.
Can I take down the Metro District fence?
No. Homeowners or their contractors cannot take down the fence for access to their yard. No one is allowed to drive over landscaped areas.
When are Operation and Maintenance Fees due?
Invoices go out every quarter. Fees are due the 1st of March, June, September and December. If you receive your invoice by email, it can be paid online using the link in the email.
What color stain is approved for fences?
Fences do not have to be stained. If you do choose to stain your fence, you must use Sherwin Williams Woodcraft Cedar, Product #6250 or one of three Clear stains: Cabot Clear Wood Protector #2101; Sherwin Williams WoodScapes Semi-Transparent Clear Base, 3104-0369 or WoodScapes Exterior Polyurethane Semi-Transparent House Stain; Olympic Maximum Clear Waterproofing Sealant # 57500A-01.
What day is Trash/Recycle day?
Trash/Recycle day is Thursday and Friday only. This is to eliminate trash sitting out on the curb several different days during the week and to limit the number of large trucks driving thru our neighborhood causing wear and tear on our streets.
Can advertisements be placed on our mailboxes?
No. Nothing may be placed on or in mailboxes except by the United States Postal Service.
What if I see a burned out street light? Who do I contact?
If you see a street light burned out, please get the pole number and contact Xcel at 1-800-895-1999 or file a report online at Xcel Online – Report an Outage.
Are gates allowed in the District fence?
No. Gates are not permitted in District fences.
If I rent out my property in the District, can I get a pool tag for myself and my renter?
No. Only one pool tag will be issued per address in the District and it will be issued to the person living at that address.
When is the non-potable water turned on?
The non-potable water system will be turned on in June. When we get water depends on the winter/spring run off. There is a list of FAQs for the Non-Potable Irrigation System under the DOCUMENTS tab above.
Are The Windsor Apartments in the Metro District boundaries?
The Windsor Apartments are not in the District boundaries.
Can the Residents of the Windsor Apartments use the District Pool?
Residents of the Windsor Apartments may use the pool only if they purchase an Out-of-District Membership for the yearly fee.
Can the residents of WPMD use the Windsor Apartments basketball courts and clubhouse?
No. The Windsor Apartments are not in our District.
What does my O and M fee pay for?
The O and M fee pays for the operations and maintenance of the Districts. Windshire Park Metro District owns, operates and maintains landscaping, open space, common irrigation systems and the swimming pool. For a detailed description, click on the link Read More.
What do the WPMD Taxes pay for?
District Mill Levy (Taxes):
The taxes you pay go to pay off the bonds that have been issued to the District for the building of all the infrastructure of the site. In general, this is building of the site: grading the site, bringing in the sewer, water, placing a storm system, grading and building roads for curbs, streets, paving, placement of walks, street signs, street striping, electric, gas, phone, irrigation systems, landscape areas, fencing, monuments, the pool, etc,
