Covenants and Guidelines

Metro districts are independent governmental entities formed to finance, design, acquire, install, construct, operate and/or maintain public improvements that are not otherwise being provided. Like any other governmental agency, there are restrictions (covenants).

A covenant “in its most general sense and historical sense, is a solemn promise to engage in or refrain from a specified action.” There are more than 1,890 Metro Districts in Colorado. To learn more about Metro Districts and how they came to be in Colorado click here.
